Seminars

Since our first symposium in June 2021, our annual on-line Seminar Series has offered a fabulous platform for PGRs/ECRs to share their research. These are held on the third/last Thursday every month, with two or three speakers presenting their research around a similar theme or topic related to the long nineteenth century. These events are free and registration for each event is open to the public, although most of our attendees tend to be prospective and established academic researchers with an interest in the topic or period.

The Seminar Series runs from September to April and culminates in an Annual Summer Symposium. This year 4th Annual Symposium: Reimagining the L19thC will take place on 13 June 2024 (online) 16:00-19:00 BST. You can find the programme, abstracts and registration details here.

The 2024-25 Seminar Series begins in September, but if you missed our previous seminar events, you can (re)watch on our Past Events page.

Our provisional programme of themes for this 2024-25 series can be found below.

If you have a topic/paper you would like to present or hear more on, then please get in touch by e-mailing long19cmmu@gmail.com
